NFL Draft News and Rumors: Will Liberty WR Demario Douglas Enter the Draft?

Liberty wide receiver Demario Douglas has made his decision as to whether he will return to school or enter the 2023 NFL Draft.

Last week, we broke the news that Tyler Scott, an under-the-radar receiver, would be leaving Cincinnati to enter the draft. Now comes word of another sleeper at the receiver position who’ll be making the jump.

NFL Draft News and Rumors

Sources tell Pro Football Network that Liberty receiver Demario Douglas, a redshirt junior, will bypass his senior season and enter the 2023 NFL Draft. Tuesday night’s Boca Raton Bowl was his final college game. Douglas led the Flames with 73 receptions, 977 receiving yards, and 6 touchdowns during the regular season. He also returned 17 punts for 73 yards.

Douglas is known as a speedster who can score from any point on the field. He also holds a lot of special teams value at the next level. How he measures on the scale will be important as the wideout is listed as 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds by Liberty.

The Boca Raton Bowl could also be a farewell to Toledo from cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. While it’s unlikely Mitchell enters the draft, he’s being heavily recruited by several power five schools, who’ll undoubtedly promise NIL money in the hopes of getting the talented cover corner to transfer.

Mitchell entered the season with a 7th-round grade on my board but has moved into the 4th round based on his splendid play last season. He was named to the All-American Team by College Football Network at the end of the 2022 season.
