NFL Week 17 Underdog Pick’ems for Monday Night Football Includes Ja’Marr Chase and Stefon Diggs

Monday Night Football is your last chance to get in on some fantasy football action. What are our top Underdog Pick'em plays for MNF?

Fantasy football is more than just the weekly head-to-head games we’ve all grown to love. On Underdog, fantasy managers can put their player-projection skills to the test by predicting player stat lines. Here are my top Underdog Pick’em plays for the Monday Night Football Pick’em contest between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals.

Top Underdog Pick’ems for Monday Night Football

Underdog Pick’ems allows fantasy managers to predict stat lines and fantasy-point totals for almost all fantasy-relevant players. You can make two picks that pay out 3x even money or add more selections to your entry for higher payouts.

The levels are 3x, 6x, 10x, and 20x, progressing with each additional pick’em you add to your entry. Let’s take a look at this week’s NFL pick’ems.

Stefon Diggs Lower Than 0.5 Receiving Touchdowns

One thing I really like about Underdog is it offers the option to pick players to not score touchdowns. There’s a lot of value in that, especially since every pick is, in theory, 50/50.

Since joining the Bills, Stefon Diggs has played 48 games with the team. He’s caught a touchdown in 23 of them and at least one in eight games this season. But he’s still a wide receiver. On any given week, he’s more likely to not score than score.

The Bills lack quality receiving options outside of Diggs, and the Bengals have allowed the fifth-fewest touchdowns to wide receivers.

Diggs hasn’t scored in three straight games and hasn’t really been the focal point of the passing game over that span, either. That could change at any moment, given Diggs’ talent, but I think the Bengals look to erase him tonight and make Josh Allen beat them elsewhere.

Ja’Marr Chase Lower Than 0.5 Receiving Touchdowns

This one is definitely going against the grain. Yes, I am taking both teams’ WR1s to not score tonight.

The Bills allow an average of one touchdown per game to wide receivers. Ja’Marr Chase has caught a touchdown in six of his 11 games this season, with TD receptions in 15 of 28 career games.

Look for Buffalo to stick Tre’Davious White on Chase tonight. As a result, we could be looking at a heavy Tee Higgins game. Of course, Chase can always catch a short touchdown or break off a long one. But if my expectations are correct and the volume goes Higgins’ way, we’re on the right side of the value here.

Tee Higgins Higher Than 11.95 Fantasy Points

Fitting with the above, I like Higgins to soar past 11.95 fantasy points. He’s the right type of player for this pick’em because he can get there either with a touchdown or on volume.

Outside of the game he missed (Week 5) and the game where he was fake active (Week 14), Higgins has scored at least 11 fantasy points in 10 of 13 games. While he’s only surpassed this number seven times, three of his misses were by less than a point.

If I’m correct about the Bills dedicating extra attention to Chase, Joe Burrow should have plenty of opportunities to take shots in Higgins’ direction. Whether that’s near the end zone or in the middle of the field, either way, Higgins has multiple paths to 12 fantasy points.
