Super Bowl 2023: Location, date, odds, and more

With an eye on the future, here is all you need to know about Super Bowl 2023 from the location, current betting odds, and location.

While we await the kickoff of the upcoming Super Bowl, it’s never too soon to turn our attention towards the 2023 Super Bowl and look into the following location, current odds, and the date kickoff will occur. As we wait to see who wins between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, here is everything you need to know to prepare for the 2023 Super Bowl.

Super Bowl 2023 location

  • City: Glendale, Arizona
  • Stadium: State Farm Stadium

After a trip to the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles, the NFL heads back to the desert as Glendale, Arizona, plays the host of the 2023 Super Bowl.

This will be the first Super Bowl location to have been chosen under the new NFL regulations, which previously allowed cities to bid on hosting the Super Bowl. Instead, the league unilaterally decides a single hosting site for each game, not allowing other cities to bid. The chosen city then puts together a proposal that is voted upon at the league’s owners’ meetings.

It will be the fourth Super Bowl hosted by the Phoenix metro area, with the last one being Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, also held at State Farm Stadium, but it was called Phoenix Stadium at the time.

New Orleans was supposed to host Super Bowl LVIII in 2024. However, that was changed to Super Bowl LIX (2025) due to a conflict with Mardi Gras. Nevertheless, the NFL hasn’t yet picked a replacement city.

Super Bowl 2023 date

This also means the 2023 Super Bowl will go down as the second-latest date that a Super Bowl has ever been held. In fact, the soon-to-be record holder is the upcoming 2022 Super Bowl between the Rams and Bengals. Historically played in January, the continued expansion of the league and the regular season has pushed the postseason deeper into the calendar.

Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 between the New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams was the first ever to be played in the month of February. Since that time, 19 of the next 20 Super Bowls would be played in February. The lone difference coming in 2003 for Super Bowl XXXVII on January 26.

Super Bowl 2023 odds

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest days of the year. The popularity surrounding NFL betting is only continuing to grow as legalization becomes more relevant across the nation. Jumping on Super Bowl futures is one of the more popular bets. If you can pick a team no one sees coming — like the Bengals this season — you stand to make a pretty penny in return for your boldness.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the current co-favorites should come as little surprise as it was the Game of the Year this season. The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs share the best odds to win the 2023 Super Bowl at +700 odds. The NFC champion Rams have the next best odds at +1200. The Dallas Cowboys are also tied with the Rams at +1200 despite not having not made a Conference Championship game in 11 consecutive playoff appearances. Meanwhile, the AFC representative Bengals are tied with the Baltimore Ravens in third place at +1700.

Out of all the playoff teams in 2021, the Pittsburgh Steelers (+7000) have the lowest odds to win the Super Bowl. The Houston Texans (+18000) have the lowest odds of any team in the NFL. Neither of these should be surprising as both are staring down rebuilds.
